Taylor Swift's Relaxing West Coast Weekend

Enjoying a leisurely weekend excursion, Taylor Swift and a girlfriend were spotted making their way around the Los Angeles, CA area on Saturday afternoon (February 5).
The twosome - who were followed by a pair of bodyguards - first grabbed a bite to eat in Beverly Hills before scooping up a quick dessert at Pink Berry.

The outing comes just as it has been announced that Miss Swift is among the nominees in the International Album of the Year category at the Canadian Juno Awards.
Facing off against Lady Antebellum, Eminem, Ke$ha and Katy Perry  - the winner will be crowned during the Toronto ceremony being held on March 27th.

It appears that even though Jake Gyllenhaal was said to have dumped her by phone, that Taylor Swift is giving Jake another chance!
The twosome were said to have broken up right before Christmas because of the age difference and the publicity that ensued as a result of their relationship.

Now, we’re wondering if they even broke up at all!?? If it is true that they broke up because of the publicity bubble surrounding their romance, then why not throw everyone off by saying that they broke up?
That way, Taylor gets the pity vote of the world when awards show time rolls around and people will again be purchasing her album in droves. Slick, huh?

The couple were seen just last week having dinner at the Boundry close to Taylor’s condo in Nashville, Tennessee.

Taylor Swift Talks About Hair Care

She’s known for her curly coif almost as much as her music, and Taylor Swift claims that keeping her hair in top form is actually pretty easy.
The “Back to December” songstress confessed that less is more when it comes to styling her locks.
She explained, “I haven’t blown-dried my hair since I was nine years old. I can’t do it. I’m really impatient, so I just let it air dry.”
Taylor continued, “I was a tangled-haired, barefoot kid running around on a farm for my childhood. My mom didn’t really do too much to my hair other than sometimes she’d stick it up in a bow on top of my head.”

Meanwhile, her rejected, dejected paramour walks a wintry landscape, puffing out mouthfuls of cold air and despair. Good times! But actually, kind of lovely; watch it below:

Is Jennifer Aniston giving Taylor Swift love advice?
A new report dishes that backstage at the People's Choice Awards, Aniston approached Swift and told her to "hang in there" after Jake Gyllenhaal pulled the plug on their über-publicized romance.
Aniston and Gyllenhaal are good pals, mind you, so is it really true that Jen wanted Ms. Swift to know "everything will be OK" and to just "go out there and have fun"?
Well, here's what really went down with John Mayer's two ex ladies:

"No, it is not true at all," Aniston's rep tells us. "Jennifer was only at the People's Choice Awards for about 20 minutes. She arrived, presented Adam [Sandler] his award and then had to go to another commitment right after."
Adds Jen's rep:
"She did not even see Taylor there."
As we all know, sometimes reps have a tendency to stretch the truth just a tad in their client's best interest, but we can assure you Jen's rep is correct.
We had impeccable sources backstage, too, and Jen did indeed leave the Nokia Theater right after giving the award to Sandler. Jen and Taylor didn't see each other at all, let alone goss backstage.
Instead, Taylor mingled with Selena Gomez and Cory Monteith before she too was whisked away from the venue to attend the CoverGirl party in West Hollywood.
Such a shame, really. We think Jen and Taylor actually could have a lot to talk about. Both babes are some of the most eligible chicks in this town, with a string of douchey ex-boyfriends, including that yucky John Mayer. Blech, both girls are so much better than he is!
We would certainly love to be a fly on the wall if they ever do meet. Stories for days, those two.

Taylor Swift Wins People's Choice Award for Favorite Country Artist

It's another big night for Taylor Swift. The young singer won the People's Choice Award for Favorite Country Music Artist thanks to legions of faithful fans who voted for her.

Announced by Elton John, Taylor, who recently turned 21, looked gracious as she accepted her award. Taylor was spotted on her way in posing for pictures with Zac Efron. Both the young stars are recently single. Any chance we might get some dating rumors out of this pairing?

The Favorite Country Artist nominees at the 2011 People's Choice Awards included Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Lady Antebellum, Rascal Flatts, and Taylor Swift. The People's Choice Awards were held on January 5, 2011 at the Nokia Theatre and hosted by Queen Latifah for the fifth year in a row.

Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal Reportedly Split

It's another swift romance for Taylor.

Taylor Swift and Jake Gyllenhaal, who never confirmed or denied being a couple, may be ending their fairytale.

"Jake reached out to her and started all of this, but now she's not acting as interested," a source reveals to Us Weekly.

The media-shy pair reportedly called it off just before New Year's Eve, celebrating the holiday separately, unlike their joined Thanksgiving festivities.

"He said he wasn't feeling it anymore and was uncomfortable with all the attention they got. He also said he could feel the age difference. Taylor is really upset. We told her not to move so fast with this but she didn't listen," the source says.

Looks like another short-lived romance that might be penned as Swift's next big hit.

1. It All Started with a Little 'Tim McGraw'
 Taylor Swift descended onto the country music scene at 15 with her first single, "Tim McGraw." The song reached #6 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, and her self-titled debut album sold 39,000 copies in the first week! At this point, right out of the gate, the only country stars who'd posted those numbers EVER had been The Dixie Chicks and Carrie Underwood.

2. And the Winner Is...

The young star began racking up industry awards just as fast as her songs climbed the charts. In 2007, she won Breakthrough Video of the Year at the CMT Awards and she even performed her hit song at the Academy of Country Music Awards that year. Plus, the young star became the opening number for Faith Hill and, you guessed it: Tim McGraw.

3. A Girl And Her Guitar
Taylor's second single, "Teardrops on My Guitar" also tore up the charts. The song reached the second spot on the Hot Country Songs list, and climbed to #33 on the general Billboard Hot 100. Her pop crossover was totally natural, and at this point plenty of folks had gone country and gotten a hold of her record.

4. Grammy Gal

The country starlet made her first (and definitely not last) trip to the Grammy Awards in 2008. She was nominated for Best New Artist, but didn't secure the win. But, she had plenty to celebrate in 2008 as her second album sold 2.1 million copies that year, right ahead of her first album, which sold 1.5 million copies! Those stats secured her as the best-selling musician of the year in the US.

5. Singing in the Rain

Taylor's performance at the 2008 ACMs was quite memorable. She performed her hit song "Should've Said No" and by the end she was soaked! It was all planned, and definitely got people talking -- as if they weren't already. 

6. Boyfriend's in a Band

In 2008, Tay dated Joe Jonas. They reportedly broke up in November of that year, and then she supposedly wrote the song "Forever & Always" to mourn their relationship. She hasn't stopped writing about her love life since!

Taylor and Rihanna both visited TRL in 2008. This was long before RiRi's red hair, if you hadn't picked up on that already. The gals were (and still are) two of the hottest acts around!

Taylor Swift's 2009 Fearless tour sold out! She performed over 50 dates for the first part of the 6-month tour, and then added on an additional 37 dates in 2010. She smiled and merrily sang her way though every single show!

Of course we HAD to include the picture of the infamous 2009 Kanye West VMA incident in our mini Taylor history. As you probably well know, Kanye stole the mic from Taylor while she was accepting her Best Female Video award, claiming the rightful recipient of the award was Beyonce. Chaos ensued, Kanye's still talking about it -- and Taylor, naturally, wrote a song.

11. Tay-Squared

Taylor Swift dated Taylor Lautner in 2009, which made for a great nickname. They also starred in the flick Valentine's Day together before they fizzled out after only a few months.

12. Taylor Gives Back

Taylor and Faith Hill teamed up at a benefit for the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2009, and the country star has been very charitable over the last few years. She donated $100,000 to the Red Cross in Iowa after some bad flooding in 2008, and she donated $500,000 to Tennessee flood relief in 2010. She also supports the social change platform, the @15 fund.

13. Sweeping the CMAs

The country cutie could hardly carry all of her CMAs after the 2009 show. She won the Entertainer of the Year prize (becoming the youngest star ever to do so) and a whole host of other honors. That same week she set a record for the most songs on the Billboard Hot 100 list by a female artist at the same time! 

14. 'Today was a Fairytale'

Taylor released a new song, "Today was a Fairytale," in early 2010. The hit was featured in the movie Valentine's Day, which marked her foray into acting! The song became her first number 1 hit in Canada, oddly enough. It did very well on the US charts, too. Of course.

 

15. With the Girls at the Grammys

Taylor Swift posed with some of the biggest gals in the biz at a 2010 Grammy Awards event. The next day, at the big show, she brought home 4 statues, including Album of the Year. Kanye was nowhere in sight.

16. Fashion Focus

Taylor made a very stylish appearance at Milan Fashion Week this year. She's turned into quite the fashion plate over the last couple years and has landed herself on plenty of magazine covers. She also made People's "100 Most Beautiful People" list in 2008, and 2009, AND 2010!

17. Besties!

Taylor Swift has been friends with tween star Selena Gomez for some time now. This fall they met up in Europe and had some gelato! These gals definitely keep it classy. No bars and wild parties ,thankyouverymuch.

 

18. The World's a Stage

Ms. Swift has performed in some peculiar places this year. Here she is performing at the Jet Blue terminal at JFK, and just weeks later she gave an impromptu concert on top of her tour bus! Fun, huh?

You know when you're truly a superstar when Madame Tussauds makes you into a wax figure. Taylor's wax double was unveiled in October 2010.

20. What's Next?

Taylor's latest album Speak Now is still tearing up the charts, but that's not quite why a lot of people are so interested in the songstress currently. The hot gossip: Taylor's rumored to be dating Jake Gyllenhaal! They've kept mum so far, and even if she never says a word about the "relationship" in an interview, we expect to hear all about it in a song.
