Talk about your untenable scenarios, whew, this book had it in spades. It goes from  Megan on a relatively perfect date to her absolute devastation in a blink, and then it’s a race against the clock for the rest of the book. By the time the reader realizes they are good and hooked, it’s too late. You can not put this book down! Jami Alden has written a chillingly graphic suspense novel  that will hold you captive until the last word.   Trying to put myself in Megan’s shoes was unbearable. Her brother was all she had left of her family. She was obviously disillusioned about love, and she had no one but herself to turn to because the entire world believed Sean’s guilt. This woman had a spine of titanium.  The fact that she finally convinces Cole to help her is a testament to her perseverance. Cole is a straight up by the book and just the facts type of cop. He only trust the evidence, and emotions can’t be trusted.  He can’t ignore the similarities that are showing up when dead call girls start turning up all over Seattle.   If you’re a fan of gritty crime drama filled with twists, turns, betrayals, conspiracies and laced with a truly hot love story, add this to your list. It will not disappoint, and you won’t have long to wait for the sequel Hide From Evil, which is due out in November 2011.
